Anna Boch was 17 years old when she made this drawing of the Old Tower in Mettlach in 1865.
The Old Tower, the oldest building of the German State Saarland,
was located in the garden of her grandfather who lived in the facing Old Abbey Building.
Anna and her sisters Elisa and Jehanne as well as their brother Eugène
spent many holidays in Mettlach with their grandparents
Jean Francois Boch and Rosalie Buschmann.

The Keramik Museum was
initated by Luitwin von Boch and run by Dr Thèrese Thomas.

In April 2011 a permanent Anna Boch exposition
will be inaugurated in the Alte Abtei / Old Abbey Building in Mettlach
facing the Alte Turm / Old Tower.
